A blitz of the Nigerian police has freed Udinese midfielder Christian Obodo. The player had been kidnapped on Saturday in Warri. The kidnappers had asked for a ransom of 150.000 Euro. Police tried to negotiate with them as they were trying to locate the hideout. Thanks to the signal of the mobile phone Obodo has been located and the police has been able to free him without paying any ransoms. “Thanks God I’m free” are the first words spoken by the player.
