Eljero Elia is set to leave Juventus after just one season with the Serie A champions.

The Netherlands international joined the Old Lady from Hamburglast summer on a four-year contract but the 25-year-old played just four Serie A games as the club clinched a 28th league title.

The winger has handed in a transfer request, which has been granted by the club, and he is now looking for a new challenge.

He told Eredivisie Live: "I want to play football again and have fun again.

"My agent will arrange it. He will talk to me if there are any developments."

Elia added Juventus understand his situation after it cost him a place in the Dutch Euro 2012 squad.

"They have already told me I will be able to move to another club."
