Interviewed by La Voix du Nord, Lille president Michel Seydoux has declared about 26 year old right back Mathieu Debuchy: "It's clear that in France there is a financial problem, only PSG can afford to spend a lot of money, But for what concerns Debuchy it has been just a mediatic campaign. I want to make clear that we are not a club ready to sell its players, Of course Debuchy has many requests, but I can assure that Mathieu is part of our plans and we won't sell him".
