These are the words of As Roma striker Bojan Krkic on the official team website, asroma.it.

"Hello friends!

We’ve finished the first stage of our pre-season preparations and we think we've worked really well. It was hard but we all realize how important it is to lay the fitness groundwork for the season.

Now we’re going to the United States, where we’ll continue our preparations with more training sessions and the three friendly games we have lined up at three fantastic cities: Chicago, Boston and New York.

It’s so exciting for us to be going to the United States and taking AS Roma to all the fans who support our team in this country. Soccer is huge in the USA now! People who follow us throughout the season will have a one-off opportunity to watch a live match – against an important team like Liverpool, for example.

I hope we really enjoy the experience and can carry on getting ready for the new season by improving our level every day.

See you in the USA!

A big hug to all the fans,

Bojan
