Here the words of the new player of As Roma, Castan.

WHY ROMA
It's always been a dream of mine to play in Europe and once I saw Roma's offer it seemed like a good opportunity for me and my family. The club's project is very appealing. I want to be a part of history at the club, just like many of my countrymen have in the past. I hope that by playing for Roma I can also break into the Brazilian national team which is another target I have set myself.
PLAYING SYSTEM
Roma play a different system to Corinthians, where we focused heavily on counter-attacks. Here Zeman wants us to take the game to our opponents. I don't think I'll have any issues adapting to this new system. I enjoy one-on-one situations with opposition strikers. I want to defend well so our attackers can be relaxed further forward.
JUAN
Juan? He and Lucio have always been hugely inspiring for me when they played for the national team. Of course, I'd have loved to have played with Juan here, but he's moved on and he begins a new chapter now. I wish him all the best.
FITNESS
I had ten days off after the Copa Libertadores and then I came straight to the training camp with Roma. My fitness is good and I've not sustained any serious injury in my career to date. We're working very hard with Zeman but we need to have a good league season. So I'm happy and relaxed here and I can't wait to start playing some competitive games.
