he "World Football Challenge 2012", played at New York’s Yankee Stadium between Milan and Real Madrid resulted in a 5-1 success for the Spanish Champions.

At the end of the match, Massimiliano Allegri commented on Milan’s performance.

"We finish our US tour with a heavy defeat, but in the knowledge that we worked well for the long term. From this point of view it must be stated that Real Madrid are ahead of us in their preparation. What’s more they are a settled side and we can’t hide that they have excellent players with bags of quality. We created some decent chances in the first half, more than we were able to do in the second. It’s clear that a result like this is a heavy blow. However, every match must be interpreted correctly and against quality teams the desire to do well must emerge, otherwise there is the risk of losing a lot of goals, like this evening, which isn’t for the good of the team.”
