Swiss goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler was on the bench for Boro's opening game at Barnsley after completing his move.

The 6ft 4ins tall former Basel player has been on trial with Boro for much of the summer as Tony Mowbray looked for back-up for number one choice Jason Steele.

A Swiss U-20 international, Leutwiler has won two caps at that level and has also been called into U-23 squads.
He has signed a two-year contract.
