ergio Ramos played at right back in the win against Deportivo la Coruña. The defender from Seville wants to continue this run of wins and is already thinking of the next European game: “We’ve won three consecutive matches and this is the right path. As the coach has said, we’ve already given away as much as we can. We have to carry on like this and keep improving so we don’t drop any more points. The league is long, but the more points we can accumulate the better. Now we have to enjoy ourselves and think about Ajax and the Champions League. We really want to win this title.”
The Madrid player talked about his position in the match and answered questions about the match against Barcelona. “I haven’t played in this position much in the last two seasons but our job is to help the team and you have to adapt according to circumstances. We have taken a big step against Deportivo, next week is the Clásico, there are a lot of points between us and this is a unique chance to put our cards on the table and cut the gap. Cristiano Ronaldo is on a great run of form, let’s hope it lasts and we see him like this in our next league match”.

The defender talked about his own form: “I always go out with the aim of giving everything and in the best possible frame of mind. Bit by bit I am starting to improve. Nobody can question my hard work and my loyalty to the club. I’ve been at Real Madrid for eight years and I’ve had good and bad moments. The praise is good and the criticism as well, even though I know how to avoid it all”. Ramos refused to comment on refereeing decisions in other matches: “I always watch other games, not just Barcelona; I’m a devoted football supporter. I’m not going to make comments about referees because then I would be in tomorrow’s headlines”.
