Aston Villa 29 year old midfielder Jean II Makoun, actually on loan at Rennes, has explained to France Football why he has refused OM and Bordeaux to join the Breton club: "I have always been in good terms with Pierre Dreossi, who had made me sign my first pro contract when he was at Lille. He told me to wait until Tettey and M'Vila were going to leave. Brahimi has moved to Granada and Tettey to Norwich, so with two midfielder less they told me that it was OK, even if Yann has finally remained"
