Álvaro Morata came on for the final minutes of the match against Levante and scored the winner. The forward spoke to the press after the game: "The truth is it was great. I've been on the point of scoring my first official goal for Real Madrid for the last few matches, and I finally got it. When I scored it was an incredible feeling. I stay calm, listen to the coach and the club, and work on taking my chances".

Regarding the game against the Valencians he said: "Levante is a great team and we got the three points, which in the end are very useful. The pitch was bad, with a lot of water, but those are the games you have to win". He also had words for his team-mates: "I am very grateful for the way everyone has treated me from my first day here. They always give me good advice. I am also very grateful to everyone at the club and all the coaches I have played under up to now. For my part I will give everything when I have minutes in which to help the team".

The white team forward was grateful for the trust placed in him by Mourinho: "I had some offers to leave Madrid but the mister told me he was counting on me and that I should stay. I am at the best club and under the best coach in the world, I will make progress step by step. Mourinho gives me advice and helps me, I am trying to take it all in to become a better player. I am calm because I know that if I do as he says things will go well for me".
