Interviewed by Telefoot and asked about rumours linking him to a Real Madrid move, French Under-19 international forward Kylian Mbappé (turning 18 tomorrow, Tuesday, December 20), addressing to his supposed past chance to join Merengues, stated: "I was a child. A child who met the best French footballer of the story [Zinédine Zidane, Reporter's Note] and had spoken to him. He was really friendly and sincere to me. It was a great moment, but in the end it did not happen. I wanted to stay in my country. So I stayed with Monaco, and I think it was the right decision.

Comparisons to Thierry Henry? Of course being compared to such a big player is flattering, but each player needs to write his own story. If my future transfer sum would be higher than Martial one, I'd surely be happy, because it would mean big clubs would give an important appraisal to me. However, that's nothing keeping me on my toes every morning".
