Asked by Kicker about his own future, German international attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil (28), heavily linked to a move in recent times, because of having a hard time agreeing with Arsenal on a new contract, stated: "The main reason I'm here at Arsenal is not money, I want it to be clear, I want it to be clear. I enjoy being at Gunners especially because Wenger trusts me a lot, allows me to play with a good amount of freedom on the pitch". Playing for London side since 2013/14, former Real Madrid player has been linked to José Mourinho's main interest, therefore to a possible bid coming from Manchester United. In order to accept a new contract, Ozil has been rumoured to have asked a salary doubling.
