While Premier League clubs are pushing on Belgian international winger/forward Dries Mertens (turning 30 next May 6) landing to England, the player and his entourage seems to be close coming to terms with Napoli management on a new contract. While the deal's length and salary seem to have been set, the sides are now negotiating on the exit clause. Besides, according to Italian local paper Il Mattino, former PSV star, even if not coming to a full agreement with Italian club, would be willing to stay put next season too, and then leave as a free agent.
