After having taken over Everton managerial position, Sam Allardyce, according to latest UK news, asked Toffees board a further effort in talking English international midfielder Ross Barkley (turning 24 tomorrow, December 5) into agreeing on a new long-term. Leaving in January or, as a free agent, next June otherwise, the player is still a possible winter target for basically the top 4 London clubs (Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham).
