REAL MADRID, Bale's agent: "He doesn't need CR7 to leave, he's a star. But things change quickly in football"

12.02.2018 16.14 by Claudio Colla  read 613

Interviewed by Italian paper Tuttosport, Jonathan Barnett, agent of former Tottenham (facing Juventus in Champions League round-of-16 match tomorrow) star Gareth Bale (28), more than once linked to saying Real Madrid farewell and heading back to Premier League, stated: "He's worth at least the 222 million paid for Neymar. Gareth, however, is very happy with Real Madrid. He loves Madrid as a city, and Real as a club, And, of course, he doesn't need Cristiano Ronaldo to leave, in order to shine. Bale is already a star at Real Madrid. I remember the pen Florentino Perez gave me, that September 1st, 2013. He's a real gentleman, and I always carry it with me. Before sealing the deal with Blancos, Bale was close to signing for an Italian club, but Spurs didn't accept the offer. He's happy in Madrid now, although things can change quickly in football...however, I'm sure that no Italian club can afford to buy him, not right now at least". Welsh A-list winger is mostly tracked by Manchester United.
