Coming from a hat-trick scored last Sunday, in Atalanta 5-1 away victory against Chievo Verona, Slovenian international half-forward Josip Ilicic (30), interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, stated: "I've been suffering a lot, and, when I was sick (neck lymph nodes batteric infection, Reporter's Note), football wasn't my main thought, of course. I thank my family first, as well as Atalanta, including the club, our boss Gasperini, and my teammates, whose support was never lacking. I want to get back playing European Cups. There's a lot of China talks ongoing, and I know I can get there whenever I want. I've been linked to any top club worldwide, but now I'm definitely good here". Playing for La Dea since 2017/18, former Fiorentina player is currently on a deal with them until June 2020.
