Commenting upon EL home tie against Real Betis, AC Milan manager Rino Gattuso, ahead of Serie A big match against Juventus, stated: "Last night's draw is a fair result. Real Betis are a great team, they have important players, and I'm not surprised by their performance. They always look to outsmart their opponents, it takes courage and organization to beat them. After the group draw, I immediately realized that we were in a very difficult group and that we would have to gain qualification on the last matchday. We struggled with the 5-man defence, then, after moving Suso and Calhanoglu to their usual position, in a 3-4-3, we played better.

Musacchio is fine. He's a South American player, he's tough, I hope he fully recovers for Sunday night's game. Calhanoglu took the usual blow to the instep. He has a hematoma, and it hurts when he gets hit there".

We will need to put our hearts in that game, the same heart that this team demonstrated tonight. We struggled in the first half, then we recovered in the second spell in under 10 minutes. We have the will and energy: we never give up. Sometimes we are afraid of playing, then when summoning the courage we show some interesting things".
