Arsenal confirmed earlier this week that Sven Mislintat was to leave his role as head of recruitment and boss Unai Emery has been asked about the appointment of a new technical director at his news conference this afternoon.

Roma's director of football, Monchi, has been linked with the role and Emery admits his high regard for the man he worked with at Sevilla.

"He's a man I know well. I have a good relationship with him. I can only say to you he’s a good person."
