Brand new Real Madrid signing Kaka spoke to the press from the Brazilian national team training camp in Recife and said : "First of all, I thank AC Milan for all the wonderful years I have spent with them. It is thanks to AC Milan that I became famous and I won important trophies. .... AC Milan can win major trophies again also without me because they have other top players and I am sure that new coach Leonardo will do well. .... Now I am happy to have signed for Real Madrid, their offer was hard to ignore. I would have not left AC Milan for any other club, although I was still keen on staying at AC Milan. .... Now that I have joined Real, I believe in their ambitious plans and I want to win the Liga title and the Champions League as soon as possible. .... I do not know what number I will be assigned to as regards my Real Madrid jersey. I heard about number 5. That was Zinedine Zidane's jersey at Real. He was a great player, but I have not decided on my next jersey number yet".
