After the failed move to the Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab, Amin Younes has a difficult time at Eintracht Frankfurt under the new coach Oliver Glasner. The winger will not be allowed to present himself on the international stage this season. The 28-year-old is not in the officially announced Europa League squad.

A bitter setback for the dribbler who was skillful on the ball and was part of the regular staff last season. Filip Kostic (28), who wanted to force his failed move to Lazio Rome with a strike, is on the 24-player list.

Outside striker Fabio Blanco (17) U21 national player Ragnar Ache (23) also did not make it into the squad. For this, Glasner nominated three newcomers in attack: Sam Lammers (24, Atalanta Bergamo), Jens Petter Hauge (21, AC Milan) and Rafael Santos Borre (25, River Plate).

The squad

Goal: Diant Ramaj, Kevin Trapp.

Defense: Timothy Chandler, Erik Durm, Makoto Hasebe, Martin Hinteregger, Christopher Lenz, Evan N'dicka, Tuta, Almamy Toure, Danny da Costa

Midfield: Ayman Barkok, Ajdin Hrustic, Stefan Ilsanker, Kristijan Jakic, Daichi Kamada, Filip Kostic, Jesper Lindström, Sebastian Rode, Djibril Sow.

Attack: Jens Petter Hauge, Sam Lammers, Gonçalo Paciência, Rafael Santos Borre.
