Interviewed by Globo Esporte, Roma defender Juan has declared: "I have always had contacts with Flamengo. Everybody knows my past and my preference for people that work there today like Rafael da Piro. But I never received an official offer as I have a contract with Roma. Flamengo have never contacted Roma maybe because they don't have the financial resources to negotiate my transfer. There have been some speculations when my contract was about to expire, but I knew that I was going to renew".
