Juventus are preparing to enter the final two and a half months of their championship campaign. With the Bianconeri motoring along nicely in both the league and Coppa Italia, this year’s finale looks set to be more thrilling than ever.
Versatile full-back Paolo De Ceglie was under the spotlight for this afternoon’s Filo Diretto and pledged his devotion to the cause.
“It’s certainly an important moment,” he said. “Every game we face from here on in is fundamental. We’ll begin Saturday against Chievo in a match we know will be difficult. We’ll need to tackle it with maximum commitment and the right desire.”
The 25-year-old has won admirers for his seamless transition from full-back to midfielder in Conte’s flexible side. His foraging bursts down the left flank remain as strong as ever, regardless of the formation played.
“Our way of playing is different this year,” he commented. “We put in a lot more aggression and focus more on possession. Playing in a back four or midfield five isn’t that different, the only thing that changes is the position you start off from.”
