The years of his youth can be heard in the interview given by Luca Antonini to Forza Milan!, the club’s official monthly magazine: “The biggest satisfaction to date was without a doubt my first goal for the club. It was a tremendous emotion when I saw the ball go past Buffon and hit the back of the net. To score my first goal at the San Siro in my 100th appearance for the club in a game like Milan-Juventus…I’ll never forget it. I only have a couple of regrets about the 3-2 home loss against Manchester United in the Champions League two years ago in the San Siro. I played well, maybe my best performance for the club. I came close to scoring as well but then an injury meant I had to leave the field after 25 minutes. It could have been the game of my consecration as a player. Shame!”

Some memories from Luca: “My first maestro was Riccardo Tumiatti and he taught me a lot. I still hear from him, I’m very grateful to him. I was in the Youth Sector until I was 19. I remember the Viareggio tournament in 2001 against Vitoria Bahia. I scored with a beautiful shot, my second of the tournament. I had also scored with a header; the Golden Goal in extra time against the Argentines of Quilmes in the quarter finals. That was the Milan of Mauro Tassotti, another great maestro in my career."
