Despite two goals from Robinho, Milan were defeated by Juventus last night in the Trofeo Luigi Berlusconi by 3-2. Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Cassano has made a transfer request.

"I think we definitely conceded goals in the game tonight that could have been avoided if we can work a little better at the back. That is something we will have to do. oided if we can work a little better at the back. That is something we will have to do. Tonight Zapata was new, Zapata and Yepes had never played together before so we most certainly need to improve. Overall I am happy because the spirit of the team was good which is what we will need for the season to come. Constant had never played as a full back for me before so I wanted to try him in that position and he did some good things and some things which were less good. It is a shame because Antonio Cassano has been at Milan a year and a half, he played a big part in the scudetto title in his first six months here and was a decisive factor in many games. He started really well last year before the heart problem made him miss a large part of the season. This season he has filed a transfer request and I think that despite his exceptional qualities and skills keeping a player that does not want to stay is no good for both parties, either the player or the club".
