SERIE A - Lazio's Thomas Strakosha scores funny own goal

On Thursday evening, Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha scored one of the funniest own goals we've seen in a long time.

The shot-stopper gave Galatasaray the lead in the 66th minute of the Italian club's Europa League group stage encounter against Galatasaray.

A pass into the box was intercepted by one of Strakosha's teammates, who hoofed the ball high into the air, barely above the crossbar.

Strakosha was unable to clear it for Lazio and the club's passionate fans, as the ball sped past his grasp and into the goal.

Strakosha has yet to play a single minute for Lazio in Serie A this season, and given his antics in goal in Turkey, that is unlikely to change very soon.

Pepe Reina, who is now 39, is the first-choice goalkeeper for the Rome-based club, and the Spaniard can rest easy for the time being, knowing that his spot in the team's best XI is secure - at least for now.
