Against all odds, after his Al-Ahli half-season loan spell, 26-year old Senegalese winger and forward M'Baye Niang ended up staying put into Stade Rennais ranks. Never deployed by Breton side boss Bruno Genesio on the pitch, former AC Milan and Torino player isn't deemed a valuable member of the team, and is still up for grabs.

To this end, the French-born might even end up resigning from Rennes. Besides having tried to fetch him during last summer window, Girondins de Bordeaux management, according to L'Equipe, are having another run at Niang, previously playing also for Montpellier, SM Caen, and Watford. Still on a deal with Rennes until June 2023, Niang, previously linked to a Serie A return (with Bologna and Venezia keen on him), could be let out on a free move.
