EL/ MAN UNITED - Darmian: "It will be difficult against Fenerbahce, but we are here to win"

02.11.2016 17.58 by Francesca Ceciarini  read 3455

Matteo Darmian spoke along with his manager José Mourinho in Istanbul, to preview Manchester United's clash against Fenerbahce:

"We expect a very difficult game. We know it will be difficult because Fenerbahce is a good team with good players, so tomorrow we want to fight [for the win]. We are here to win - that's it," the Italian international said.

Darmian didn't have many chances to play in the first part of the season, where he started just two games in the Europa League, also due to Valencia's very good form, but after the Ecuadorian's arm injury last week, he was given another chance to start against Burnley, performing well:

"Of course, I work a lot in the first part of the season and have to be ready when the manager gives me an opportunity," said the Italian.

"I feel sorry for Antonio for his injury. We wait on his recovery and I hope he can come back as soon as possible."
