Ten feared dead in accommodation block fire at Brazilian giants Flamengo’s youth team training centre. Firefighters were called to the Urubu's Nest training centre in Rio de Janeiro, home of the academy of the top Brazilian club, at 5am local time.

They found one building completely  - believed to be an accommodation block - destroyed by flames at the site in Vargem Grande, in the West Zone of the city. Reports from local outlets claim that ten people have died in the blazed, with a further person in hospital with serious injuries. It is not clear who was staying in the building at the time.
