REAL MADRID owner Perez: "Benzema is the best striker worldwide. Modric? We are proud of him"

12.02.2019 08.26 by Claudio Colla  read 671

Interviewed  by France Football, Florentino Perez, Real Madrid owner, stated: "Why should we purchase a new n° 9? I think we still have the best club in the world here, and numbers from the ground are saying I'm right. I've been reading we are in need for a new striker for a long time, but truth is we've got the best one worldwide, Karim Benzema. Now we want to bring in players who are getting key men in the future, like Vinicius, or Rodrygo. Modric? We are happy and proud he won Ballon d'Or. He's part of our legacy, and he embodies our values. The new Bernabeu stadium? We want to keep Real on top billing-wise as well, and the stadium is our number one hope for the future. It's costing 550 million euros all along, but it's really going to enhance the club's financial status".
