PSG, Buffon: "When I was young, Ferguson wanted me at United. Then City tracked me hard"

Playing for PSG since last summer, former Juventus and Italian NT 41-year old iconic goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, interviewed by BT Sports, stated: "When I was very young, playing for Parma, Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to bring me to United. He was sending scouts observing me all the time. But Parma was my world, and in the end I didn't feel like leaving. Besides, lately, Manchester City had tried to sign me, while they were starting a trophy winning-worth team. They planned me to be their new course's first hit signing, but I wanted to stay at Juventus".
