Aaron Hughes has retired from football after a 21-year playing career.  Hughes made a brief emotional speech in the changing room after Northern Ireland’s 1-0 win against Belarus in Minsk.  He is Northern Ireland’s most capped outfield player with 112 appearances, although Steven Davis is one behind on 111. Only Pat Jennings (119) won more caps than the former Newcastle, Fulham and Aston Villa defender.
