INTER MILAN chairman Zhang: "No second thoughts on ICARDI"

Interviewed by Corriere della Sera, Inter Milan chairman Steven Zhang, asked about a bunch of issues, including 26-year old Argentinian striker and former first-team captain Mauro Icardi's future, stated: "I think the concept behind financial fair play is one that won't quit, both for clubs such as ours, and for the sports industry overall. But there's no guarantee the team showing the best balance sheet is the one which ends up winning. Filling our gap with the top club? That needs time, but Inter's main target is to hit a billion's worth income. And that's doable by working on issues such as club-owned arena, sponsors, TV rights for Italy and Europe. Icardi? He's a great football player, a nice person, who provided Inter a noteworthy aid, through lots of goals scored. But there's no second thoughts of ours, he's leaving. We are sure we are going to seal a satisfying deal on his signaway". Icardi is still tracked by Juventus and Napoli.
