"Joke's on you", people might tell Portuguese star attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva. English Football Association top-flight execs have in fact decided to start an inquiry over the tweet he sent to Manchester City teammate of his, Benjamin Mendy. As depicted on the left, Silva tweeted a pic of Mendy's as a kid, alongside famous "Conguitos" candy mascot. Citizens frontline man commented: "You can't even joke with a friend, these days". Mendy himself might end up testify on the (supposed) harmlessness of the joke's side, by confirming no racist subtext was intended (at least a willful one). So far, former AS Monaco left-back, through a comment, answered his teammate: "1-0 on your side. Now we'll see".
