BAYERN MUNICH, Lucas HERNANDEZ: "I joined here to get outside my comfort zone"

Interviewed by France Football, French international centre-back Lucas Hernandez (23), who joined Bayern Munich last summer, from Atletico Madrid, commented upon his own life and career choice: "90% of the clubs around wouldn't have  signed an injured player. And that's how I figured out Bayern were really interested in me. Although I could dispose of everything I was in need to at Atletico, I wanted to make a step forward, and Bayern were the club offering me that kind of chance. It's one of the best club worldwide, and I was looking for a real challenge, both on a personal and a professional plan, dealing with a language and a culture which would have been new for me. I wanted to get outside by comfort zone, and when I look at Bayern I see a club which I share my mindset and ambitions with".
