Interviewed by Het Laatste Nieuws, PSG and Belgian NT right-back Thomas Meunier stated: "I always made clear my ambition was to stay put. I did not want to leave, because playing PSG is special. You're part of a team that can win a European competition, it's not is not something that many players can say. I could have signed for Everton, which is a good club: I would have played a lot there, that's for sure, and I would have had fun too, but Everton are not playing European competition".
