Genk announced having sacked Belgian-Italian 53-year old manager Felice Mazzù, together with all his staff room (Tom Van Imschoot, Denis Dessaer, Sandro Salamone). Through the official note released, Jupiler League side top brass made clear the exec room realize the team is now meant to be built up back, since having dismantled a lot last summer, after having won national title, but the decision has been made on the ground of too much of a gap between the roster's inherent value and the current ninth ranking position. Mazzù was training Genk only since last June.
