According to Sky Sports, Borussia Dortmund are stepping towards Belgian international winger/forward Dries Mertens (32). Successfully playing for Napoli since 2013/14, Azzurri powerhouse's future in Italian club ranks is still in jeopardy, since no deal has been agreed on regarding an extension, beyond current June 2020 deadline. Cashing a 4 million euros annual salary right now, and aiming to a raise up to 6 millions, Mertens is a market dream also for Inter Milan, AS Roma, AC Milan, and Tottenham, while former bosses of his, Carlo Ancelotti and Maurizio Sarri - the former about to be named new Everton gaffer, the latter notoriously training Juventus - might both try and have a winter run at him.
