Interviewed by AS, Jonathan Barnett, agent of Welsh international winger Gareth Bale (30), out of grace at Real Madrid for a long time, stated: "We were reached by a Chinese offer, one you can't refuse. Blancos, however, weren't in on letting him leave. He wanted to leave his mark on Chinese football, besides becoming the best paid football player worldwide". Playing for Merengues since 2013/14, Bale, linked to a move back to Premier League more than once, is still on a deal with Spanish giants until June 2022.
