CL aftermath - ATLETICO MADRID key men comments on triumph over Liverpool

From Anfield Road mixed zone, after having taken over Liverpool during the extended time, mainly from Marcos Llorente's double, some of the Atletico Madrid key men commented upon the accomplishment, leading Colchoneros, by striking off CL defending champions, to the competition quarter finals. Here are the words reported through Spanish giants official media.

Diego Simeone: “I’m very happy for the team and the club. We’re once again amongst Europe’s eight best teams. It was a game that will go down in history against an extraordinary opponent at a beautiful stadium. Their fans supported them like our fans did at the Wanda Metropolitano. Our supporters were incredible, you could hear them throughout the match".

Marcos Llorente: “The whole team did an incredible job. We defended together and when we all fight together, these things happen".

Joao Felix: “We’ve suffered a lot and we’ve worked very hard. It was worth it. We’re going to fight for more”.

Koke: “Hard work pays off. We’d been playing quite well in the last month. We must use this win to continue doing things well".
