The Coronavirus outbreak continues to wreak havoc in major European leagues, with Germany side Hannover 96 the latest to send players into self-quarantine.  This comes after defender Timo Hübers tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, forcing the club to take a precautionary measure.

The team's management announced on Thursday that all players will be under home quarantine for the next 14 days, starting Thursday.

The club also applied to the DFL to discontinue their second division matches against Dynamo Dresden and VfL Osnabrück.

"Of course, direct personal contact with the players in quarantine is not possible - but we will use all other options to provide our professionals with the best possible support and support. The situation is not for everyone involved easy, but it is completely undisputed for everyone that health has priority here," said the club's Gerhard Zuber.
