According to Daily Star Paris St-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, 33, will return to his home country, Uruguay, and sign for Penarol when his contract expires this summer. His contract expires at the end of the current campaign meaning he is available to join a new team for nothing when the transfer window reopens. And according to Penarol captain and Cavani’s friend Rodriguez, he will be joining up with him back in Uruguay.
His close friend told to Uruguayan radio station FM Del Sol: "I have the authority to talk about Edi. "He's about to come to Penarol and I can't say anything else. Call him and ask him."
Cagliari announced having signed Italian centre-back Arturo Calabresi (24), joining in from Bologna, on a half-season loan deal, inclusive of a buy-back option.
