Close to leave Inter Milan during last winter window, with both AC Milan and Everton ready to sign him, Uruguayan international midfielder Matias Vecino (28) ended up staying put, throughout his third Neroazzurri season. According to Tuttosport, Italian giants are now pondering over his future, outlining three options:
A) Keeping him in as a backup, notably since Borja Valero is going to leave on a free move.
B) Putting him up for sale, though there's no guarantee previous suitors are going at him again.
C) Using him as a bargaining chip, especially since next market session is forecast to be a mostly swap-based one, out of the lack of cash flow most clubs are likely to suffer from, in the wake of the ongoing pandemic emergency.
Former Fiorentina playmaker, equipped with a dual Italian citizenship, is currently on a deal with Inter until June 2022.
