During his latest Instagram live, Palmeiras half-back Felipe Melo, turning 37 on June 26, looked back to his European football days: "When I joined Inter Milan, it was a dream coming true. I had been longing for that jersey since I was a kid. I made Galatasaray history beforehand, and keeping playing in Turkey would have been the comfortable choice. But I chose Inter, even if it meant cutting my wage in half. Back when I was playing for Fiorentina, lots were willing to sign me, Mourinho (training Inter at the time) included. Unfortunately, I ended up picking Juventus, as a destination. I won't badmouth such a big club, however. I'm grateful to them, they opened me their doors". Melo's alleged ways were recently blamed in Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini's memoir.
