Talking to PSG official media, 27-year old Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi pointed out: "Leaving Inter Milan and joining Paris Saint-Germain was a huge improvement, a step forward for me, career-wise. I'm 27 now, and I had spent a lot of time already playing in Italy. I wanted to join a club like PSG, in order to compete at the very top, and win titles. That was the key factor for me to make my mind up". Ligue 1 giants, once more national league defending champions, signed him on a permanent move, on a 50 million euros' worth transfer fee.
