EXCLUSIVE TMW - Trabzonspor, OMUR's agent: "He's sought after in Italy. A Turkish football icon at only 21"

18.08.2020 11.19 by Claudio Colla  read 906

Heavily linked to an Atalanta move, 21-year old Turkish midfielder Abdulkadir Omur might be actually bidding Trabzonspor farewell in a few weeks' matter. To this end, his agent, George Gardi (representing Napoli playmaker Eljif Elmas as well), told TMW: "He doesn't only play football. He draws and shapes it. He's got a bright career ahead of himself, and he's been one of Italian clubs hottest names for a couple summers by now. I can't name names, but there was even someone who flew to Italy, in order to tie the knot, last summer. He's only 21, and he's already a Turkish football icon. You have to keep in mind we are talking about someone who, in the long term, might be what legends such as Baggio, Del Piero, Totti, are for the Italian scene. And, as Trabzonspor chairman reminded, he's a symbol of the club. Atalanta? I can't spell out which are the ongoing individual negotiations. There are clubs pursuing Omur, we'll see what happens". The 1999-born is reportedly meant to be on his way out on an about 25 million euros, though the deal might be eventually sealed on a lower sum.
