ARSENAL playmaker THOMAS' father: "We wanted him to join a bigger club, but..."

Interviewed by Daily Mirror, Jacob Partey, father of Ghanaian international defensive midfielder Thomas Partey (27), who joined Arsenal, from Atletico Madrid, right before the market window buzzer, stated: 

We actually weren’t disturbed by anything, because we hoped a bigger team will come for Partey. We were aware of the other teams that were interested: Juventus, Chelsea and so forth. He wanted to play Champions League, but I told him he must stretch his best effort to help the team achieving next edition".
