Ruled out from Arsenal EL list, 32-year old German attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil, playing for Gunners since 2013/14, addressed to his unhappy situation through an "open letter" he published on his Twitter profile. Some excerpts are: "It's hard for me to write such a message to all Arsenal fans. But I'm really upset, and sad, about how things are looking. I vowed loyalty to the club when I signed my last deal extension, back in 2018, and I'm sad the club aren't taking it seriously. [...] London is home to me, I have a lot of friends in the team, but now I'm not allowed to play for Arsenal, as it looks. Nonetheless, I'm still going to fight for my chance. That can't be it".
