Commenting upon Borussia Monchengladbach 3-0 victory over Schalke 04, in Ruhr area derby match, Die Fohlen manager, Lucien Favre, stated: "We all wanted to show our fans a proper reaction to the Europa League defeat. My players, I myself, everyone. Again, we must not be focused on the Italian match we've been jousting in. Of course we weren't good. But it happens, especially again such a skilled team as Lazio are. Anyway, that match is over: let's look ahead of us, not backwards".
