Playing for Girondins de Bordeaux since August 2019, former French international centre-back and Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny (25), commenting upon the latest defeat suffered from AS Monaco, stated: "It was a total and collective failure, once they scored their first goal. Every time you concede one, your world crumbles down. We weren't even playing poorly, when the game was still on marks. Anyway, we are very disappointed with our performance. Bordeaux is a noble club, and we must honour that kind of reputation, something we didn't do against AS Monaco. Sports require efforts, dedication, it isn't all about skills and fitness. And if you can't keep up with the status you achieved through your career, and led you to play for such an important club, you're going to be replaced by someone else, while you climb the club ladder down".
