Commenting upon Gareth Bale's first goal scored since he moved back to Tottenham, Spurs boss, José Mourinho, stated: "Some pundits said I'd have watched Real Madrid official site right away, once it had happened. However, I just read some issues, some Spanish ones, which hadn't been that kind to Gareth in the past. Well, I must say they've definitely been fair, this time. Ndombelé? I'm happy for him, and with him, though I know he can still do much better".
